This photograph is from a series called Invisible. This work focuses on a search for identity and place. It is a search for meaning in the world and in our individual selves, meaning found and meaning attributed. This search is sometimes through an examination of the bodies we walk around in and how we present ourselves, and sometimes through strange discarded objects that once carried meaning and use. It is a search for what defines us and what keeps us rooted in life. Up unitl this past year I thought of this search as personal, but as the world rapidly changes I can see this happening in many peoples lives and collectively with us all. |
