Everett M. Cheney Speedway, IN. Firefighter
Lest We Forget
lost wax process
10.75" H on a 10.5" sq. base
signed and numbered limited series of 1,000  with a certificate of authenticity

The proceeds of these limited series reproductions go to the FDNY911 Disaster relief fund, as established through the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION of FIREFIGHTERS.

I am a firefighter and I created this piece because I felt such dark anger and pain I needed to exorcise these demons and in doing so created a piece that has been recreated and the proceeds donated to the FDNY911 disaster relief fund to help all those that remain behind in their loss and pain. I have a limited series of 1,000 and have sold 50 to date. The sculpture is titled LEST WE FORGET, it is of a FDNY firefighter that has been searching the pile for signs and has found a damaged fire helmet of a brother firefighter and he has paused for a moment of silent reflection.
